2017 Boat Weighing Sessions

Date:  Sunday, May 21 and Sunday, June 25

Time:  TBD

Location:  South end of Belmont Harbor

Cost:  Free

The 2017 T10 North American Championship (NAC) will be hosted in Chicago in August at Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club.  One requirement to compete in NAC is that your boat has a current and valid measurement certificate.  And one of the critical requirements for a measurement certificate is to get your boat weighed.

The Chicago Fleet will be holding a boat weighing session at the Belmont Harbor cranes on Saturday, May 21, 2017.  The exact times will be determined when we know how many boats are scheduled to be weighed.  It takes approximately 30 minutes for a boat to be weighed.

We may add an additional boat weighing session on Sunday, June 25, if demand warrants it.  We will NOT be offering boat weighing for Chicago Fleet boats the week of NAC.

Please contact the Chicago T10 Fleet measurer, Michael Platzke (michael.platzke@gmail.com, 630-853-2950), to indicate your interest in having your boat weighed in 2017.  Please indicate your preferred date (May 21 or June 25) and let us know if you cannot make the May 21 date (in the event that we decide not to hold a June 25 weighing session).  Please include your name, the boat name, the hull number and your contact information.

Winter Storage Fleet Rate

Chicago T10 Fleet Board member Rick Lillie (Waterworks) has negotiated a fleet rate with Chicago Yacht Works for winter boat storage for the 2017/2018 winter season.  The more more T10s that sign up, the greater the savings. Contract signature and deposit required by May 31, 2017.  Click HERE for additional information and contact Chicago Yacht Works (312-666-6670) with questions or to sign up.
